How Do I Get A Wholesale Retail License In Alabama

Start up a Retail Trade Clothing And Accessories with 0 employees in Harvest, AL AL  , 35806, AL Madison County I do not want to pay excessive taxes because I am self employed and I am subject to self employment taxes. Is there a way to avoid paying it.     I want my clients and other business I deal with to respect me and my business.  
I am  a clothing merchandiser and have a small walk in store.  I will buy clothing wholesale and sell directly to the public in alabam from my store.


THERE ARE 4 TAX ID NUMBERS

A(n) Harvest Business Tax Registration ID

A(n) AL State Sales Tax ID Number

A(n) AL Federal Tax Id Number (EIN). Nonprofits and all businesses are required to obtain an EIN.

If you create an S corporation you will not pay excessive self employment taxes because instead of salary you can pay yourself in dividents. Keep in mind that you still need to pay yourself a reasonable salary as defined by the IRS.     Set up a corporate business entity such as an LLC or corporation in order to be respected as a business.   Protect your personal assets and avoid suits that might ensue from business consists in dealing with real person to person encounters.

I have a store on etsy.com but I've only had one order, so taxes haven't really been an issue. However, I am trying to get a booth at an event to sell my merchandise and promote my etsy store and they need a tax ID# to register me. Help! I don't have a tax ID#. Do I need etsy's? And how would I even get it?

I am a flea market owner and I am very computer literate. I have put the permits that I give to each of my vendors each month on the computer and print them. I get permit books and use the numbers from the books. I print 4 copies of each permit and the vendors sign each one. I keep the D copy, give A and B copies to the vendor and send the C copy to the state. The computer copies are an accurate duplication of the book permits except the colors. Is there a legal problem with me handling my permits this way? It sure saves time and the information that the vendors provide is so much more accurate and legible.

Which forms do I need to fill out for an in home candle business?I was wondering what sellers permit I needed t start my candle making business

Here are tax registrations that are required to get for Clothing And Accessories Business Type in The City Of Harvest, AL.

    When you start your own merchandise selling -- you need a merchant account which is simply a checking account used to process credit card transactions.
    Online business that sell merchandise online need to collect taxes and that requires a state ID.
    You can use a business plan to start a business but you do not really need it.
    Make sure your domain name has a word of your service of product in it.
    After you obtain a domain name you will need to host it and create a website.
