Here's How to Get Your Tax ID and Other permits and Registrations You May Need. Seller's Permit, LLC, DBA, Licenses & Tax IDs Requirements:




First decide on a business structure Consignment as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.


Note that each structure requires a filing. E.g., selecting an LLC, requires at least an LLC certificate, an LLC operating agreement, a business license and a federal tax ID number.

All Consignment Businesses need a , Business tax registration also called an occupation business License

Selling/Leasing or if wanting to buy or sell Consignment merchandise, food, equipment requires a Seller's Permit.

All Consignment Businesses Using a DBA doing business as name need a DBA Fictitious Business Name

It is confusing... is a Tax ID license same as a sales permit?; Yes, a Tax ID license is the same as a sales permit. So is a Tax ID a tax permit?; In essense, yes, it is a tax permit. Furthermore, employers will need both a federal EIN, and a State EIN. Finally, if the business uses a trade name, the name must be registered with an assumed business name certificate also called a DBA doing business as.  Note that since you have to select a business structure, if you select to be an LLC or corporation you will not need to file an assumed business name.

how long does this take? Do i get a temporary resale certificate right away? im just wanting to get a sellers permit to buy wholesale items and just want to make sure i didnt need to get anything else is this where i apply got a sellers permit for wholesale clothing boutique in Illinois.



Do I need a permit to sale beer and wine? the regular license to sell medical supplies is free?





im just trying to figure out if i need a sellers permit thats all maam do you need a business license to sell at a christmas bazaar? I just wanted to sell some christmas stockings a 1 church bazaar for one day. I have a Cottage Food License and looking for information about becoming a commercial bakery.



Right now I'm only licensed to sell pies at the Farmers Market but would like to be able to ship them out of state. also have a food handler permit but my Cottage Food License does not permit shipping food I am assuming I will need to upgrade my equipment - just looking for a site that gives me that information.
