First decide on a business structure Farming as a Sole Proprietor, LLC/Corp, or Partnership.

However, if you incorporate or form an LLC, you do not need to register your business name because the LLC name will be your business name.If you will sell any type of merchandise or item in small or large amounts, you will need a  Tax ID (sales Tax License ).  If decide to hire help, you will need a federal EIN  and a state employer ID.
